Kim Hyun Joong’s popularity in China is officially undeniable.
On June 6, Kim Hyun Joong opened his official Weibo account, a Chinese-based social networking service similar to Twitter.
The account showed explosive popularity from fans as the account attracted over 230,000 followers in one day.
In doing so, he beat the previous one-day follower records set by Japanese AV star Aoi Sora (220,000) and actor Jang Keun Suk (210,000).
Kim Hyun Joong promised to regularly update his Weibo account to keep in touch with his fans in China and has steadily been uploading pictures and updates.
