Singer Kim Hyun Joong will be working with Universal Music in Japan.
On November 10th, Kim Hyun Joong’s management company Keyeast revealed, “Kim Hyun Joong has entered into a contract with Universal music, and thus will be receiving support for future promotions, performances and album promotion in Japan overall”.
Kim Hyun Joong has revealed the facts of the contract with Universal Music at the press conference in
Osaka on November 9th, which was the first day of his Japanese tour. Kim Hyun Joong successfully wrapped up the first showcase in Japan back in July and major Japanese record labels have been reaching out to him since.
Universal Music, which has signed a contract with Kim Hyun Joong, is the largest Japanese record label that has previously introduced albums by Korean idols including, SNSD, Kara, BEAST, 4Minute, and Choshinsung.
A Universal music representative revealed their motivation for the contract stating, “We are certain that Kim Hyun Joong’s charm, different from other Hallyu idol groups currently promoting in Japan, will enable him to suceed even as a solo artist”.
