Kim Hyun Joong makes an Asia promotion for a month on this August. He starts from Japan to Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines to meet his fans personally.
Kim Hyun Joong participates in various press conferences, fan meetings, fan signing events, and fan high-five touch events during this promotions.
Even in a tight schedule, Kim Hyun Joong's big love for his fans can be seen. He greets one fan by making an eye contact and does high-five.
Kim Hyun Joong thanks his fans in Asia with handshakes and hung. On the 27th, Kim Hyun Joong finish his tour in Philippines. He plans to compose a mini-album after returning to Korea.

Kim Hyun Joong admitted that it was not his 2nd time here in the Philippines. In an interview made by ABS-CBN's Gretchen Fullido yesterday, he mentioned that he has been visiting Philippines many times already not for a show, but for the beach. “The Cebu beach was cleaner than the others. It was really remarkable.” said Kim Hyun Joong.

On his second day in Manila, Kim Hyun Joong once again shows himself to the press for his endorsement, The Face Shop.
In his press conference held in Palm Grove Rockwell last Friday, August 26, the Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss star answered some questions regarding his grooming secrets.
He said he usually use moisturizer to maintain his smooth and soft skin.
Hyun Joong only proves that use of beauty products are not only for women, but also for men because it will help them keep their young and healthy skin.

The thing that was auctioned was an autographed gray sports shorts which is frequently used by Hyun Joong during his dance rehearsals.
The winner is Maria Rosario Ragasa, a judge, who joined the promo for her mother Patria Ragasa which is an avid fan of Leader from the K-Pop band SS501.
According to the story of the event host Grace Lee, Patria turned his daughter's room into 'Kim Hyun Joong shrine' because of her too much admiration for the Korean star.
They have attempted to follow Hyun Joong in Korea a couple of times to have his picture taken with her but they cannot approach him.
So when they have heard about the auction, Maria Rosario told her mom, 'Mom I will try my best to win this for you so you can take a photo with him.'
She said this is her gift for her mom who is celebrating her 74th birthday.
It was also Maria Rosario's way to thank her mom who continues to take care of her, especially now that she recently had a stroke.
Kim Hyun Joong immediately went down the stage to approach the mother and the daughter.
They were both teary-eyed when they came face-to-face with their Korean celebrity idol.
Even though we cannot understand what Hyun Joong said to the two, (because he was speaking in Korean), we can see in his face his heartfelt gratitude because of the support of the fans not only in his programs and music, but also for his charity projects.
After a brief meeting with Kim Hyun Joong, the Korean actor personally handed over to the representative of Abiertas House of Friendship, the beneficiary of the auction, the check worth Php 100,000.

On MBC’s Jung Bo Seok’s Cheongdam-dong At 1 O’clock, SS501’s Park Jung Min said, “I haven’t had a girlfriend since 2005, my debut. But this girl comes across my mind at times.”
Park’s “girl” turns out to be a bank clerk who provided him useful bank information.
She was a big fan of Park for she set Park’s picture on the background of her computer.
Park was not able to go to the bank for a while, and when he visited to see her, she has already resigned because she became a stewardess, which she has been dreaming of.
Park said, “I met her twice on the plane on my way to overseas activities. It was quite surprising.”
He also revealed his story of modeling for contraception commercial at the age of minor, inspiring laughter.

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines is one country that Korean superstar Kim Hyun Joong loves to return to over and over again and he expressed this during a recently-held presscon at the Edsa Shangri-La to promote his first solo mini-album Break Down.
The love is a two-way street between Hyun Joong and his Filipino fans. He said he would try very much to come back to Manila for another concert.
“I will have an Asian concert tour in December and I will certainly work it out to include the Philippines in my tour,” an overwhelmed and happy Hyun Joong told reporters via his interpreter.
The heartthrob breezed into town to also perform for his Pinoy fans at the Trinoma Activity Center for the High Five Touch event.
At the press conference, Hyun Joong said he was happy to be back in Manila.
“I am overwhelmed at the response of the Filipino fans. At the airport, there were so many fans who welcomed me. I am very happy to be here again,” he said.
It was Hyun Joong’s second visit to Manila after performing with the K-pop boy group Beast in a benefit concert last year.
Pinoys are dear to Hyun Joong’s heart as also last year, he donated P1M from his personal money to a non-government organization that supports women with children out of wedlock and juvenile delinquents. The money was for the construction of a halfway house for juvenile delinquents who are seeking a second chance.
Hyun Joong himself had a difficult teen life. As a teenager, he ran away from home, worked odd jobs to support himself and went hungry and homeless. But through all the uphill struggles, he held on, persevered and worked hard to get to where he is now.
He said in a previous interview that he wants other young people to learn from his experience.
For his second visit, Hyun Joong performed as a solo artist after his boy group SS501, which spawned such hits as Because I’m Stupid and Making a Lover.
Hyun Joong became popular in the Philippines via the hit 2009 Korean drama series Boys Over Flowers as the gentlemanly Ji-Hoo, which was aired over ABS-CBN. Last year, he starred in the Korean drama Playful Kiss as Seung Jo/Gelo aired on GMA 7.
At the press conference, Hyun Joong shared that singing and acting make him very, very happy.
“I feel ecstatic when I’m in front of my fans performing for them. Even though I am tired, I feel energized whenever I see their reaction and love for me,” he said.
In his new album, he displayed a different persona who is more mature and hot.
His two hit singles Please and Break Down have topped Korean charts and now his latest track Kiss, Kiss is climbing up the charts.
The title track Break Down is an upbeat, synthesized song with an urban style, which features the rapping of South Korea’s Double K and is produced by Ken Lewis, who has worked with Eminem, Kanye West, Usher and John Legend.
Hyun Joong also said he was very involved and hands-on in the album making of Break Down.
He worked closely with Japanese group V6 and KAT-TUN’s producer Steven Lee. Hyun Joong also conceptualized his MTVs for the songs in Break Down.
Asked if he plans to write some songs, he said he’d love to but now is not yet the time.
Nevertheless, plans are in the offing for a new drama series and probably, a new album, too.
