Have you ever wondered who the 10 best Korean movie stars might be? Some Korean actors are known only in their country, and some are huge stars all around the world. Here is a list of the best Korean movie stars and some of their work.

1. Song Seung-heon. The strikingly handsome Song is a model turned actor. Song became popular when he joined the cast of the Korean sitcom “Three men, Three women.” He became a star after joining the cast of “Autumn Story,” the Korean drama that was exported all over Asia. He has also appeared in the movies, “The Invincible,” and “Ice Rain.”

2. Kim Tae-hee. Kim is a South Korean actress who rose to stardom as an evil step sister on the popular SBS TV series “Stairway to Heaven”. She has appeared in four movies to date, and was awarded the Deajong Film Awards, Overseas Popularity Award-Female for her role in the 2007 movie, “The Restless.”

3. Kim Hyun Joong. Joong first appeared on TV in 2006. Kim became popular after joining the cast of the MBC reality show “We got Married,” in 2008. He is also a member of the Korean boy band SS501.

4. Kwon Sang-woo. Kwon has been acting for four short years, and he is already a star. Woo began his career in the Korean movie “Volcano High,” and went on to star in the TV drama, “Stairs to Heaven,” which was exported all over Asia.

5. Min Hyo Rin. Min is a singer, model, and actress. She is know for her role in the Mnet TV show “The Korean Olsen Twins,” which aired in 2008, she also appears in the TV drama, “Triple.” Min’s birth name is Jung Eun Ran.

6. Bae Yong-joon. Bae began his career after graduating from Sung kyung kwan University. Bae went on to star in TV dramas such as “Salut D Amour,” and “Six Steps to Separation.” He has appeared in five movies to date, but gained international stardom for his dramatic role in the Korean TV series “Winter Sonata.”

7. So Ji-sub. So is a model turned actor. He got his big break playing a gangster in the 2002 Korean movie, “Glass Slippers.” So went on to win numerous SBS and KBS Drama Awards for his role in the popular TV show, “I’m Sorry I love You.” He is currently the star of the TV drama “Cain and Abel.”

8. Song Hye-kyo. The beautiful Song was the star of the 2005 Korean movie, “My girl and I.” She is popular within many Asian countries, and has also appeared in the TV dramas, “Autumn Fairytale,” and “Hotelier.”

9. Yoon Eun-hye. Yoon was deemed one of the hottest stars of 2006, she went on to star in the movie “Escaping Charisma.” She is also the star of the Korean TV show “Goong.” Yoon was a singer before becoming a film and TV star, she has no formal training as an actress.

10. Jeon Ji-hyeon. Jeon was a popular model and TV actress before making her film debut in “White Valentine,” in 1999. She achieved star status after her lead role in the 2001 romantic comedy “My sassy Girl”, which was a hit throughout Asia. In 2009 Jeon appeared in the lead role of the international co-produced

Hollywood movie, “Blood: The Last Vampire.”

[News] Park Jung Min - Smile While Driving Fans Away [26.04.11]

Korea Idol group SS501 member, Park Jung Min held his fanmeeting last Saturday in Hong Kong. In addition to playing games which he resorted to all kinds of tricks, with his tremendous improvement in his Chinese, he really knows how to smile telling them ：「回家！」(GO HOME!) driving fans away.

More than a year ago, Jung Min came to Hong Kong together with SS501 for performance, he held his solo fanmeeting last saturday in Kowloon which attracted more than 600 fans who attended to support him. His opening song is a ballad “IF YOU CANNOT”, and he even used Cantonese to introduce himself which made the atmosphere very high.

Singing Chinese Song

The one and half hour fanmeeting, Park Jung Min not only sang “Tears of Happiness”, he also sang other songs from his album. Thru internet knowing what the Hong Kong fans wanted, he sang the Chinese song by Guang Liang called 《童話》 (Fairytale). He even used Chinese asking fans to teach him to how to speak Cantonese, mistakenly said 「教我 jiao wo」(Teach Me) pronouncing as 「找我 zhao wo」(Find Me). Some indonesia fans even teached him to say “I LOVE YOU” in Bahasa Indonesia.

With his improved fluency in Mandarin, Park Jung Min invited fans up the stage for some games, when seeing 1 of his fans who cant keep up with the dance steps in his song “NOT ALONE”, he started using Mandarin to say that：「她不是我的粉絲，回家！」(She is not my fan, GO HOME!), another time during 1 of the game, he also urge fans：「快點！我們沒時間！」(Hurry, We do not have time!). Regarding the multiple choice questions seeing some fans peeping at answers, he humourously said them：「不要偷看！」(Do not peep!)

Cloned to satisfy fans

Aware of how to make fans happy, while playing games, Park Jung Min not only hug fans, he also interwined his fingers with fans looking at each other eyes deeply, holding hands singing a song and also the princess style hug when taking photo togther making it tough for him to carry.

On the 3rd of the current month is Park Jung Min 24 years old birthday, the fans gave him a birthday cake and everyone sang him a birthday song in korean making him touched. He said he hope to clone 100 of himself in order to be together with the Hong Kong fans.

Heo Young Saeng attended the recording of [ Good Sunday ] 'Running Man' on 25-April at SBS Open Hall, DeungChon-dong, Seoul. Heo Young Saneg, who delayed the release of his solo album due to his hand injury while practicing his dance choreography on 19-April, went ahead with the schedules recording for 'Running Man'.

His agency B2M Entertainment said "The medical team advices to refrain from having any outdorr activities until the hand is healed completely. However he attended the redording, showing his determination to keep hi promise which was made earlier. The producers and the rest of the hosts of the program were all in goos praises of Heo Young Saeng's determination and his sincerity when her appeared for the recording with a cast".

Heo Young Saeng's appearance with a cast is not a twist but made a twist to it. The hosts of the program were taken aback when they learnt that he will be appearing with the cast on. Despite the injury, Heo Young Saeng shone brightly with his lone fighting and his efforts to hide his existence.

Heo Young Saeng was supposed to start his solo activities with the release of an album on 28-April. But he was injured to the extend that a cast has to be put up, thus forcing a postponement for his activities. Fortunately, his conditions has improved and has made adjustments to his comeback which is mid of next month.

Han JaeHo & Kim SeungSu from Sweetunes who made Kara's "Lupin", "Honey", "Mister", and Steven Lee whom he had formed a strong friendship with since SS501 days, participated in Heo Young Saeng's solo album, his title song has been decided to be a dance song "Let It Go".

'Running Man' which Heo Young Saeng appears in will be broadcasted on 8-May.

Park Jung Min a member of a Korean boyband SS501 held an autograph session at Tai Po Mega Mall yesterday afternoon to spend his time with fans for Easter. More than 500 fans were present with cardboard signs to support their idol.

Park Jung Min, whose favourite activity is shopping, said jokingly that his aim of visiting Hong Kong is to buy the hearts of the fans. He also said "I Love You!" in Mandarin frequently which won fanatic screams fro his female fans.

Park Jung Min invited 3 his fans on the spot up onto the stage to paint Easter egg with him, and showed his friendliness when he hugged his fans while helped wiping tears off from a female fan. He later signed his autograph for 500 fans, and some female fans were moved to tears for the opportunity to come close to their idol. When interviewed, Park Jung Min revealed his admiration of Wong Kar Wai a Hong Kong director.

[News] Heo Young Saeng - Records "Running Man" in a cast

On April 25th, SS501’s Heo Young Saeng attended the recording for an upcoming episode of SBS’s “Running Man“.

As previously reported, plans for his solo album release were pushed back after Heo Young Saeng sustained a hand injury during a choreography rehearsal. Unfortunately, he was not able to push back his other pre-scheduled activities, and so he showed up at the recording in a cast.

B2M Entertainment stated, “His doctors told us to restrict physical activity until his hand heals, but he was determined to keep his promise with the producers. The producers thought highly of his determination and sincerity with his work.”

His castmates had no idea that Young Saeng would be showing up in a cast and expressed their surprise over the unfortunate situation; as for Young Saeng himself, he tried his best to hide his cast.

His “Running Man” episode will air on May 8th.
