Artists under the ‘Big 4′ took home 74% of music program trophies this year
Artists under the ‘Big 4′ agencies (YG, SM, JYP, and Cube Entertainment) have dominated music program wins this year, taking home around 74% of the winner’s trophies!
From the first week of January 2011 to the second week of September, a total of 108 trophies have been given out by the three music programs that declare winners – ‘Music Bank‘, ‘Inkigayo‘, and ‘M! Countdown‘.
Out of those 108 trophies, 80 of them went to artists under the ‘Big 4′. Starting with SM Entertainment, TVXQ won 9 times, f(x) won 10 times, and Super Junior won 11 times, totaling to 30 trophies.
Under YG Entertainment, GD&TOP won twice, Big Bang won 14 times, Seungri won five times, and 2NE1 won six times, totaling to 27 trophies.
Under Cube Entertainment, G.NA won four times, B2ST won eight times, and 4minute once, totaling to 13 trophies. As for JYP Entertainment, 2PM won seven times and miss A won three times, totaling to 10 trophies.
SM and YG combined total to 57 trophies, dominating about 53% of the total trophies won this year. Putting all of the ‘Big 4′ together totals to 74% of the trophies this year.
Teams that put the ‘Big 4′ aside included SECRET‘s “Shy Boy” with five wins and “Starlight Moonlight” with one win, totaling to six wins together. CNBLUE won seven times for “Intuition”, Kim Hyun Joong‘s “Break Down” won four times, T-ara‘s “Roly-Poly” won three times, Jay Park‘s “Abandoned” won twice, and INFINITE‘s “Be Mine” won twice.
IU continued her “Good Day” streak with one win in the first week of the year while K-Will, Wheesung, and SISTAR, all took home a trophy each.

Korean group SS501 member Park Jung Min came to Taiwan for the filming of idol drama ‘Fondant Garden’. Created by Angie Chai, idol drama ‘Fondant Garden’ starring Park Jung Min, Kingone Wang and Shara Lin have been shooting for half a month. Korean star Park Jung Min came to Taiwan for the drama filming films a fake drowning scene whereby it turns real when Shara Lin pulled him down the sea. He who is not familiar with the water yelled continuously “It was so scary, she wants to murder me.” He was asked if Taiwan girls are really man (in characteristic), he laughed and said “(They are) So fierce!”
Park Jung Min is a standard flower boy said that he is actually concerned about the relationship with one another the most when he comes to Taiwan for filming. He revealed that he contacts with Kingone Wang by sending text message but did not contact the actresses in private. After hearing what he said, his Korea manager immediately explained that it is to avoid rumours “I was the one who doesn’t allow him to send text messages to girls.”
As for what was written in the text message? Because Park Jung Min typed it in Korean, it still made Kingone Wang at a loss for what he was trying to say till now. He said “I had to flip the book after reading his text message, but I still don’t understand anything.”
Park Jung Min who came to Taiwan not only uses Chinese during the filming of drama with the other actors, he even used Chinese throughout the entire interview, and is really putting in efforts on it. The drama crew inevitably taught him the ‘*Three Character Classic (*Cursed/Vulgar word)’ and he almost blurted it out at the scene which made his manager nervous and stopped him immediately. This makes Kingone Wang said “His burden is relatively heavy.”
Kingone Wang who is 31 years old took another challenge of acting in an idol drama, as all of his working partners are all younger than him, he jokingly said “I am used to it.” And yesterday, he acted like a big brother at the scene. He also acted in the drama ‘Next Heroes’ recently. Because he was acting deep into the drama, he became arrogant outside the drama which his father is unable to stand it and told him to pay attention (to his attitude).

South Korea boy group SS501′s Park Jung Min whom signed with a Taiwan agency last year specially came to Taiwan for a long stay to film the idol drama ‘Fondant Garden’. Park Jung Min had to put in extra effort to learn Chinese just for this drama. His Chinese is getting more fluent and he admitted that it was indeed pressurizing from the start but learning Chinese is not difficult to him. Instead, he was worried about how to break the language barrier and relationship with everyone. However by looking at him mingling with everyone at the scene easily, we can see that he really put in his utmost effort to break the ice with everyone.
During his long stay in Taiwan, Park Jung Min expressed that he went to Hualien because of the filming which left a deep impression on him. Park Jung Min was full of praise for Taiwan famous food, he said that his favourite food was beef noodles and as for the rich flavour smelly tofu, he said directly that it was so terrifying but also expressed that he is still willing to try it if there is still a chance.
Being in Taiwan for 3 months, it is inevitable that Park Jung Min misses home thus he took advantage of the filming gap/break and went back to Korea to visit his family a few days ago. As for Mid-Autumn Festival, he did what as Romans did and experienced barbecuing like the people in Taiwan while celebrating. But he jokingly expressed that because Kingone Wang, Shara Lin and Lia Lee excluded him from the barbecue gathering, he had to stay at home alone to barbecue while reading the script, his look made everyone pitied him.

Park Jung Min, Kingone Wang, Shara Lin and Lia Lee who starred in idol drama ‘Fondant Garden’ will be heading to Korea for filming soon. Today’s filming scene was pulled back to Taipei Danshuei and it was also specially opened to the media to visit the set. Kingone Wang expressed that in order to film this drama, he specially went to learn Korean even asked Park Jung Min to be his little teacher in order to strengthen his Korean more.
Not only Kingone Wang had to learn Korean for the drama, Park Jung Min is also working hard in learning Chinese. Because of the language barrier, Park Jung Min and fellow actors and actresses made a lot of jokes. However, Park Jung Min’s Chinese is improving and is able to communicate with everyone seamlessly. Actress Shara Lin praised that Park Jung Min is cheerful and is easy to get along thus they are extremely happy while working together.
Park Jung Min had a lot of interesting stories during his filming in Taiwan. Recently he had to film a drowning scene in Hualien and in order to save him, actress Shara Lin pulled his pants accidentally. Park Jung Min continuously used Chinese and said “Pervert! So lustful!” which made everyone laughed. However by recalling this scene, Park Jung Min is still lingering with fear and exclaimed “I almost died.”
During the interview, it started to drizzle. Kingone Wang constantly said “*Water represents good luck”. However, Park Jung Min who was aside directly held up an umbrella unexpectedly pulled Shara Lin and Lia Lee in to avoid the rain. The reaction of the ignorance for his image allows everyone to see his funny side.
