[News] Park Jung Min - long legal battle with his previous label finally comes to an end [28.05.13]

Park Jung Min's lengthy legal battle with his previous label CNr Media has finally come to an end.
His current label, Yamaha A&R revealed, "Park
Jung Min has cleanly closed his relationship with CNr Media. He's been
exempted from all the related businesses and miscellaneous contract
issues with his previous label."
Park Jung Min had filed a lawsuit
towards his former label for 200,000,000 KRW (approximately $180,000
USD) in July 2012 demanding provisional disposition to terminate the
validity of his contract. He had said, "When the contract was signed
in October 2010, the profit was supposed to be split at a set rate.
However, the balance remaining has still not been paid. The unpaid dues
are estimated to reach 1.1 billion KRW (approximately $1 million USD),
but the suit is only for 200 million KRW. Later on, the exact profit
will be calculated and the suit will be increased as a result. The label
received the request of correction about the unpaid dues, but did
nothing. Because of this, the contract with them was terminated last
December."
Park
Jung Min agreed to the decision that he would receive what CNr Media
could realistically pay him, due to their financial troubles and to
terminate his contract. His lawyers said, "From the beginning, his
lawsuit wasn't about receiving money but at successfully concluding his
relationship with his previous label. We got to this agreement so Park
Jung Min could focus on various promotions instead of focusing on
long-lasting legal matters."
Now that his legal battle is over, hopefully we can see Park Jung Min more often.

Lee Hyori made an appearance in the recent episode of ‘Barefoot
Friends’. Lee Hyori, who was from the same agency as Kim Hyun Joong,
asked him “I saw on a programme that you have changed your ideal type?“.
Kim Hyun Joong who has revealed his ideal type to be Lee Hyori previously, quickly denied and said “It did not change!“. However, Lee Hyori continued to ask Kim Hyun Joong, “Just say it!“. To which Hyun Joong appear to stammer but denied immediately!
Members also bursted into laughter when Eun Hyuk remarked “Kim Hyun
Joong likes the young Lee Hyori” and Hyori reacted by attempting to kick
him.

The May 26th episode of SBS TV variety show ‘Barefooted Friends’ continued with the adventures of the cast members in Indonesia.
To fish for prawns, the cast members took cable cars and arrived at a rocky islet. Gigantic waves kept hitting the islet that the members were on, and it felt very dangerous at one point in wanting to swallow them whole.
Kim Hyun Joong ignored all the danger and rushed to the edges to do his best to fish for prawns, and managed to only catch two tiny ones at the end.
As they went back on land to savor their feast of prawns, Kang Ho Dong exclaimed, “This is not a feast, but a energy stimulant, it just wipes away all your fatigue.” The tiny prawns not only gave the cast members a little happiness, but also showed the true colors of Kim Hyun Joong’s eating poise.
Meanwhile in the family visit segment, the members paid a visit to the home of Yoon Jong Shin.
