Singer Kim Hyun Joong exposed that he swore at the members during SS501 days.

Kim HyunJoong held his first mini album ‘Break Down’ showcase on 7-June at JangChoong stadium and kicks off his comeback in the music scene. On that day, Park KyungLim was the host for the mini fan meeting, and truthful conversation was shared with Heo YoungSaeng and Kim KyuJong.

Kim Hyun Joong recently came clean in terms of plastic surgery.

On the June 8th episode of “Knee-Drop Guru“, Kim Hyun Joong was the main featured guest on the show and revealed with concern, “I feel like everything I am is only hype”, and showed his 4-dimensional appeal.

The ‘walking sculpture’ pretty boy artist, Kim Hyun Joong, kicked off the program, answering “I can tell you everything” to Kang Ho Dong’s question, “Will you answer all of my questions?”.

Kang Ho Dong went to a sensitive topic, asking, “Is the ‘walking sculpture’ a work of God, or is it actually the work of a doctor?”

To the question, Kim Hyun Joong confessed honestly and confidently that “It’s both God-given and touched by a doctor,” shocking the MC’s.

Kim Hyun Joong explained, “I hurt my nose by getting hit by a rock. I hurt it while watching my neighborhood hyungs break a radio with rocks– I later got a bit of treatment on my nose and raised it a bit in the process”, which brought laughter to the studio.

Idol group SS501 member Kim HyunJoong explained with regards to his height controversy.

His agency told StarNews on 8-June “(Kim) HyunJoong said that his height is 181cm.”

He said “HyunJoong’s top of the feet is thick therefore he couldn’t use heel inserts.”

Regarding that his height was stated as 182cm in his official profile in websites, the agency replied “It was the information from the previous agency so we don’t know why it was so. His height of 181cm is correct.”

When being questioned if Yoo JaeSuk used heel inserts during the broadcast at that time, he responded “We didn’t check with Yoo JaeSuk’s agency so we do not know.”

Kim HyunJoong was surrounded by height controversy when an online community posted a post title ‘Seems like Kim HyunJoong lied about his height’.

In the post, a photo of Kim HyunJoong in SBS ‘Sunday is Good – Running Man’ broadcasted on 5-June was included. In the photo, Kim HyunJoong looks almost the same height as 175cm Yoo JaeSuk, driving a controversy about his height.

Kim Hyun Joong has finally revealed his thoughts about the hit KBS drama, “Boys Over Flowers“.
The idol appeared on the June 8th broadcast of MBC’s “Knee-Drop Guru” and talked about his singing career as well as about his personal life.

He started talking about how he got to play a significant role in “Boys Over Flowers”, saying, “I received a phone call from the ‘Boys Over Flowers’ production company. I didn’t know what it was, so for the first time in my life, I read a romantic-comedy manga. It was quite difficult to read because [in the manga], the characters had stars in their eyes and they were too blinding.”

He elaborated, “When I auditioned, they told me I looked very similar [to the character in the manga]. Inside, I had some worries because I’ve never acted before. I thought I should try my hardest anyways and studied by reading the manga.”

Kim Hyun Joong even studied the hand gesture of his character and was surrounded by a controversy concerning his unnatural acting. He said, “That [hand gesture] was even stranger. I finally realized that being natural was the best thing.”

He added, “I received a lot of negative comments such as, ‘My hands and feet are curling from such unnatural acting. Just stick to being a singer but you’re not a great singer either.’ After reading such a harsh comment, I really wanted to find the IP address of the commenter.”

He remained humble about the success “Boys Over Flowers” has received, stating, “I think it’s because the exporting team did a good job selling [its rights] overseas. The production team, Lee Min Ho, and Goo Hye Sun led the drama well so I was naturally able to do well.”

SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong revealed an incident where he was mistaken to be actor Bae Yong Joon because he couldn’t speak Chinese.

On the June 7th broadcast of SBS’s “Strong Heart,” Kim Hyun Joong was a guest as a part of the ‘Special Strong Heart King of Kings’ episode.

During the broadcast, he revealed that people call him a “Bae Yong Joon look-alike” and “2nd generation Bae Yong Joon.”

Because of the similarities, he was once mistaken as Bae Yong Joon by Chinese fans during the Asian Games. Kim Hyun Joong stated, “A Chinese fan asked for my autograph but handed me a picture of Yong Joon hyung.”

At that time, Kim Hyun Joong repeatedly stated in English, “No! No Bae Yong Joon,” because he couldn’t communicate with the Chinese fan. However, the Chinese fan misunderstood him and thought ‘Bae Yong Joon’ wouldn’t sign the autograph for him because he was annoyed by him. The fan persistently followed Kim Hyun Joong around until finally swearing at him and leaving his side.

Kim Hyun Joong stated, “Well, that’s how I got rid of one Bae Yong Joon fan” – drawing much laughter from the guests and audience.

Kim Hyun Joong recently talked about the reason why SS501 members decided to pursue their own careers.

The singer was a guest on MBC’s “Knee-Drop Guru” and elaborated on the statement that he has made previously on “Radio Star“, saying, “If the agency doesn’t force me out, I don’t want to either.”

He stated, “That statement was made when we had 5 months remaining on our contract. There was one more scheduled album to be released. I didn’t talk about the issues dealing with the agency with my members at the time. When our album promotions were over, we talked it over with all the members.”

He apparently told his members, “Didn’t we show almost everything that SS501 can do together as one? I don’t want to disband, but I think it’d be good if we could also pursue our own paths. After talking with the members, we each pursued the paths according to our own colors.”

When asked about the time when the CEO of his past agency (DSP Media) fainted due to health problems, he said, “I was a little fortunate that I had the opportunity to say, ‘I’m sorry’ to him before he fainted. If I didn’t tell that to him then, I couldn’t have come out like this today. If I won an award for a drama or on a music program, I wanted to say to him, ‘I did well. Please be healthy.’”
