Kim Hyunjoong has just released his first mini-album "Break Down" along with his music video for the title song. The SS501 member has returned to the music scene with a very masculine concept, as outlined with his shorter hair and protruding muscles.

He is set to make his return stages this week with his title song "Break Down" to much of fans' anticipation. Kim Hyunjoong is the 4th SS501 member to release an album this year, following Jungmin, Hyungjoon, and Youngsaeng. Currently, Youngsaeng is promoting his song "Let It Go."

A video showing Kim Hyunjoong diligently practicing the choreography in his gray sweats and hoodie for "Break Down" with his back up dancers has been revealed. The choreography is shown to be very strong and energetic.

During the time as SS501, I didn’t have a chance to meet them at all but,
after Kim Hyung Jun (maknae), I was also able to meet Park Jung Min~.
Nevertheless, his Japanese was good. I was surprised that he could converse normally at that level.
His talks and wit were flying and occasionally, he’d astonishingly throw insults but,
that’s somewhat of a charm, isn’t it.
He said, “I am said to be the devil” hahaha
His mother was a nutritionist so that means that her home cooking is the best.
“Come and eat next time okay~” he said frankly.

SS501の時には、まったく会う機会がなかったのだけど、
キム・ヒョンジュン（マンネ）に続いて、パク・ジョンミンにも
会えました～。
それにしても日本語が上手。こんなにふつーに会話ができるなんて、
ビックリでした。
話もウィットに飛んでいて、たまに驚くほどの暴言も吐いちゃうけれど、
そこが魅力なんでしょうね。
「僕、悪魔って言われています」と！！hahaha
お母さんが栄養士だったということで、お母さんの手料理が一番。
「今度食べに来てね～」ときさくです。

If Kim KyuJong from SS501, was ‘Sun’ in the popular drama ‘Secret Garden’?
According to several people in broadcast industry, Kim KyuJong received an invitation for the cast role ‘SUN’ in SBS drama ‘Secret Garden’ which was broadcasted last year.

After Kim KyuJong, Park JaeBum who is previously from 2PM was also given the chance to take up the role of ‘SUN’, but both of them declined so finally Lee JongSuk was selected for the role.

In the drama, SUN is a genius musician who keeps bickering with Oska (played Yoon SangHyun) and secretly admires him. Singer Kim KyuJong matches the role very well because the role of SUN is a musician and there were lots of scenes where he sings. However, it was rumored that Kim KyuJong was not well prepared or acting yet at that time therefore rejected the role.

In the end, the role of SUN was played by Lee JongSuk, and despite being a newcomer, he is able to act out the prickly and cold role easily, and gained much attention as a rookie actor.

Meanwhile, Kim KyuJong will play the role of Lee Shin in musical ‘Goong’ which will be played in Minamiza Theatre in Kyoto, Japan from 11-June to 1-July. His transformation into an actor has gained much anticipation from fans.

After teasing fans with a full music video for “Please” earlier this month, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong has finally made his long-awaited solo debut by dropping the music video for his title track, “Break Down“!

The song was composed by Steven Lee and is classified as a ’south urban dance track’. Right from its beginning phases, the song was composed with a dynamic choreography in mind to ensure a strong performance.

“Break Down” combines powerful electric brass and synth sounds to create an energetic track. The album also passed through the hands of prestigious sound engineer, Ken Louis (Eminem, Kanye West, and Usher), who personally engineered it himself in New Jersey for a perfect sound quality.

The ‘King of the Hallyu Wave’, Bae Yong Joon, made a surprise ‘voice appearance’ on SBS’s “Strong Heart“!

On June 7th, Kim Hyun Joong made a guest appearance and revealed his close relationship with the CEO of his agency, Bae Yong Joon.

He stated, “A while ago, I’ve heard that Yong Joong hyung went to Busan by himself so I went right away and stayed with him.”

The singer also called Bae Yong Joong during filming, which he fortunately answered. Reportedly, Bae Yong Joon praised Hyun Joong and expressed his deep fondness for the star. He also joked around by saying, “I want to see Hyun Joong being hit by the wind [as punishment for telling a 'weak' story].”

It’s said that Bae Yong Joon lived up to his reputation as a ‘man of gentle charisma’ by answering every cast member’s question.
